Requirements:
The position requires expertise and the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot with the following technologies:
- Enterprise Networking Components (Firewalls, Wireless, Switching L2/L3, Routers)
- Enterprise Server Components
- Enterprise Storage Components (SAN, NAS, DAS)
- Microsoft Systems including but not limited to Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and Remote Desktop Services
- Encryption and certificates
- Enterprise virtualization systems (VMware, Microsoft)
- Drive customer experience by establishing KPI’s and SLA’s
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts in case of systems outages or other issues
- Work closely with other IT teams and departments to align systems infrastructure with company goals and objectives
- Implement, maintain, document, and improve compute, storage, and cloud native technologies to ensure the security, reliability, scalability and overall availability of our systems
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that our systems infrastructure is integrated with other systems and applications
- Stay current with the latest technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
Experience:
- 7+ years relevant experience in business systems, development or IT support functions or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 8+ years of experience in internal IT
- 3-5 years of experience as an IT support specialist and/or windows systems administrator in a medium to large enterprise
- 5+ years’ experience in management of DHCP, DNS Servers, VPN. switches and routers, printers, WIFI devices, Conference room devices, lab equipment and other network devices
- Strong expertise in deploying and supporting applications in Cloud-based Platforms such as AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Business Central, and other Native Cloud platforms
- Deploy and administer VMware vCenter and vSphere environments
- Strong working knowledge of backup solutions (Ex. Veeam, StorageCraft)
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience supporting end-user networks in a Microsoft environment
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience supporting a LAN/WAN environment
- Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet and SSH
- 3-4 years in leading IT projects
- Fundamental understanding of the OSI model
- Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining an internal security program and familiarity with best practices around IT security
- Experience with Federal Government compliance (NIST CSF, CSC Controls, CMMC, ISO)
- Proven experience with ITIL and IT Service Management
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell cmdlet or script will be preferred
- Solid understanding of Office 365 configuration, Exchange emails, SharePoint Sites, One Drive etc. and other SaaS applications
- Manage Office 365 requests related to Exchange emails, SharePoint sites, Distribution lists, etc. A good understanding of email flow, email hygiene, SharePoint permissions is a must
- Deep experience collaborating with other teams to solve problems within complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem with a high degree of trust and confidence
- Solid understanding of cloud computing design and security principles (AWS/Microsoft)
- Understanding of Mobile/Device Management platforms (Ex. MS Endpoint manager)
- Understanding of virtual application and desktop delivery platforms (Ex. Citrix Cloud)
- Proven experience in managing Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Plans
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps environments
- Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
- The ability to effectively analyze, prioritize, organize, and execute tasks in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
- Requires demonstrated ability to launch and deliver IT projects on time and within budgets
- Requires leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior management and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with other IT leaders to develop IT strategy and improve overall service delivery
Certifications:
- Candidates with MCSE, MCSA and or other Azure related Microsoft Certifications are preferred. A bachelor's degree or an associate degree in computer science or information technology is preferred but not required.
- CISSP, CRISC, CISM, ITIL, or IT Service Management processes equivalent Certifications
